First day full day in Sao Paulo. We made a trip out to the stadium to figure out how long it would take with the subway connections. The metro stop has a bridge that takes you across several lanes of traffic to the stadium. There were a few people milling around, a few vendors selling stuff (we bought beer) but generally it was quiet. The barriers were set up for people to queue up to enter the stadium, it looks like they are expecting long lines.
In the afternoon we went to the old center city, had lunch in the old market while watching part of one of the soccer games, wandered the city and found a bar where we could sit out on the sidewalk and watch another game.
Later in the evening we met a friend of Becker’s and his wife for a few beers and to deliver him a PS4 that Nate had brought down for him. Between Nate, Becker and myself we brought 3 PlayStation 4s as with taxes they cost about 3 times here as they do in the US.

Street party Brazil vs Columbia
This was a highlight (except for Nate getting his billfold stolen). What a party.
